Opal Thompson, 93, of Newbern, died Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was nutritionist for the State of Tennessee and a member of Emmaus Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Emmaus Baptist Church with the Rev. James Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was a homemaker.
